Blogs vs Web Pages

Hello!  Welcome to my first ever blog posting... so exciting.  First, I have to tell you the differences between blogs and web pages.  To me it seems that a web page is a place to find information.  You may have a specific URL in mind, or you may be generally searching for a topic of interest via a search engine.  When you look for information, you find a web page (and blogs).  There are so many, one can't begin to count!  A blog is a web page, yes, but it can oftentimes be more personal than just a web page.  It contains one person's (or several peoples) musings and ideas, thoughts, creative outlets, hobbies and interests.  Blogs can be about one specific topic, or a general collection (even a journaling) of interests.  Blogs can change constantly and be updated in an instant -especially with a mobile device.

Here's the breakdown in my mind.  A web page is a more formal site that showcases your best, your professional work, credentials, and other things to make you stand out in a crowd.  A blog is more personal, it is a place to share your thoughts, musings, rants and raves and is where your personality really shines.  A blog is a web page, but a web page it not always a blog.  Got it?  I think I do. :)
